Montenegro, a small but beautiful state, is known as the Pearl of the Mediterranean, famed for its mountains, canyons, rivers, lakes and beaches. Montenegro displays a wonderful combination of culture, history with natural beauty. The Montenegro coast line is 295 km long, boasts 72 km of beaches, and is scatterred with many well-preserved ancient old towns. Places not to be missed include: Old town of Kotor,Boka Kotorska (Bay of Kotor), some say the most beautiful fjord in Europe, where the Adriatic sea cuts deep in mountains; with the ancient small town of Perast and its islets, the old town of Budva with very well preserved old town, and Budva itself with its sandy beaches and great cafes and restaurants.
