Winds tend to blow from the east averaging 15-25 knots. Navigation can be difficult due to numerous reefs. Best time to visit is between November and June.
Flights from the UK are available innto Nantes or Rennes, including with low-cost operators.

From Nantes Airport take the shuttle into Nantes to the SNCF train station, it's approx 3 hours from there to Quiberon.

There is summer train service on the 'Tire-Bouchon' from Rennes to Quiberon. When the Tire-Bouchon isn't running there is coach service, or there is a year-round train service from Auray.
