Croatia offers so many tranquil hideaways among its thousands of islands, but also has a thrilling programme of events for those who love entertainment while on holiday, especially music and racing. So if you like a party, a dance to a samba beat or to watch the racing, we’ve got the best events lined up for you:

• 30 April-7 May – Spring Cup Regatta with five days of racing that anyone, no matter their experience, can take part in. Each crew is formed according to skill
• 15-17 July – Ultra Festival in Split for house music fans.
• 31 August – 4 September – Outlook Festival, Fort Punta Christo, Štinjan, Pula, for soundsystem culture fans
• 29 June – 6 July – Love International, The Garden, Tisno, for music delights in a natural ampitheatre
