Welcome to LateSail, your first port of call for worldwide yacht charters

If we’re not talking about sailing, we’re thinking about sailing…

We are the largest online consolidator of bareboat, flotilla, by the cabin and crewed yacht charters across the world’s major charter fleets and smaller operators. We deal in last minute and early bird bookings and choose charter operators that have a history of positive customer feedback. Our long-standing relationships with them means we often have exclusive offers not available elsewhere.

We find you the best value deal and offer experienced broker advice regardless of the time of year. We have a long established history and reputation in the market. We offer:

Focused on delivering excellent service

Browse more than 6,000 live charters online or, if you need some guidance, our expert team is on hand to give you honest, unbiased advice on when and where to sail for the widest fleet availability and keenest prices.

We speak to our customers all the time and we know, with confidence, how operators compare to one another. The lowest price is not always the best deal and we’ve all the destination tips you need to make your holiday a success.

Our knowledge and attention to detail is where we are five-star rated on TrustPilot. We handle everything before you get on board, including the paperwork, payments and pre-charter questions. Once you arrive at base, you’ll deal directly with the base and are not treated any differently than a client that books direct.

Come and meet our team.

Our belief in constant innovation

Established in 1999, we’ve decades of charter broker experience. Our offices are in the UK, the USA and South Africa and we are a member of the British Marine Federation. We’re renowned as an industry innovator, bringing to the market:

How yacht charter consolidation works

Just like seats in the airline market, revenue from an unsold yacht charter is lost forever. Airlines realised that selling late availability discounted seats directly to customers can cause friction with passengers who paid full price, so they feed their low-price tickets through third parties, known as ‘consolidators’.

We do not work with small fleet operators (because if a boat is damaged they may not be able to provide a replacement) or operators who we know have poorly equipped or badly maintained boats.

If you do not see what you want on the site this does not mean it is not available, so please contact us and let our experienced team help you find the perfect offer.

The prices listed on our website are typically bareboat prices i.e. the entire yacht for the period, regardless of the number on board, however some of the offers we have are available on a flight inclusive basis, and are priced per person.

How to book

You can use the search engine on the home page to search for charters, our Deal Finder tool to compare dates, destinations and prices or you can Request a quote.

Once you contact us about a charter, we will talk through the yacht’s details, such as age, equipment, and any supplements. Once you confirm you are ready to go ahead, you will need to pay a deposit to secure the charter. The amount of deposit and final payment terms are determined by the operator and we will advise you.

After booking

You will have access to a secure section of our website where you can see all your charter documents and you can submit your crew list and proof of competence. We will be your points of contact pre-charter and our staff will answer any questions.

When you arrive for the charter, you will be treated in exactly the same way as those who have booked directly with the operator, irrespective of the price paid. After you finish your charter, we will send you a short feedback form so we can check how you got on. This is vital and helps us track the standards and service delivered by our operators.
