Yacht: Dufour 325

Location: French Riviera

Known as the playground of the rich and famous, it is also a fantastic sailing area, and overlooked as a flotilla destination until now, despite being more reasonable in price than you would think. We have been promoting bareboat and skippered charters in this area for many years (as well as saving it for our own holidays) so it was a natural progression to offer a flotilla here. With its national parks and unspoiled offshore islands, historic towns and glitzy resorts, plus great shore-side facilities and arguably the best cuisine in the world, there are many good reasons to sail here. You have a choice of two superb one week itineraries which can be combined for a wonderful two week holiday. Our first week explores westwards including Bandol, Cassis, The Isle Frioul and the spectacular Calanques coastal national park. For our second week we head east towards St. Tropez with Bormes Les Mimosas, Cavalaire and the offshore islands of Port Cros and Porquerolles to tempt you.

St Tropez Route

Port Pin Rolland:

Fly UK to Marseille Provence airport and transfer to our base in Port Pin Rolland for embarkation.

Hyeres (16 nm):

Depending on weather, we either moor in the marina, or as we prefer, anchor off the beach. Punch party ashore, and a good choice of local restaurants for an evening meal together.

Le Lavandou (13nm):

Le Lavandou is a lovely town, with some great restaurants along the front, or in the road in the hills behind. Enjoy a sundowner on the front whilst taking in a game of petanque.

Free Sail:

Continue east to Cavalaire, with an option to visit St Tropez, or alternatively explore the coast or the National park.

Ile Port Cros (25 nm):

This delightful island and national park has a charming village with a small marina and mooring buoys. Go swimming and snorkeling or enjoy great walks ashore.

Porquerolles (9 nm):

Staying on the islands, Porquerolles is beautiful – walk into the village square and choose from the great restaurants and bars. Plenty of walks to enjoy in the National Park.

Port Pin Rolland:

Two week clients continue free sailing whilst one week guests return to our base and our farewell dinner in a local restaurant.

Marseille (14nm):

The old port in Marseille is our destination – perfect for exploring the old city, just a few minutes walk away.

Port Miou (15 nm):

One of the most well known of the calanques in the national park is today’s destination. We moor on buoys, with a long line to the cliffs. A spectacular place to spend the evening.
