a) The period for which this contract has been concluded may only be changed with the agreement of the renter and to the extent possible. b) The rental amount will remain the property of the lessor whether or not the lessee has used the boat during the rental period, regardless of the reason for this vacancy. c) Cancellation insurance may be taken out by the lessee for their benefit and at their expense. A copy of this additional insurance policy may be sent to the lessee upon request. d) Cancellation conditions: • More than 180 days before departure: refund of deposits paid less €200 for the lessor's management fees, it being specified that this is a contractual clause and not a lump sum compensation. • 180 days or less: All deposits paid and/or due pursuant to Article 1 above will be retained by Alternative Sailing. e) If the delivered boat is not seaworthy, either due to the lack of an essential safety feature, or because it does not comply with regulations, and if the charter company is unable to offer a boat with the same number of berths within 48 hours, the charterer may terminate this contract and obtain a refund of the amounts paid without being entitled to compensation in damages.
