a) The rental period for which this contract was concluded may only be changed with the lessor's agreement and to the extent possible. b) The rental amount will remain due to the lessor whether or not the lessee has used the boat during the rental period, regardless of the reason for the vacancy. c) Cancellation insurance may be purchased by the lessee at their own expense. A copy of this supplementary insurance contract can be sent to the lessee upon request. d) Cancellation conditions: • More than 180 days before departure: refund of deposits paid less €200 for the lessor's administrative fees. It should be noted that this is a contractual clause and not a fixed penalty. • 180 days or less: all deposits paid and/or due under Article 1 above will be forfeited to Alternative Sailing. e) If the delivered boat is not seaworthy, either due to the lack of an essential safety component, or because it does not comply with regulations, and if the lessor is unable to provide a boat with the same number of berths within 48 hours, the lessee may terminate this contract and obtain a refund of all sums paid without being entitled to any compensation for damages.
