We’re excited to support the RNLI for their Mayday campaign and you can get involved too!
The RNLI is the largest charity that focuses on saving lives at sea around the coast of the UK. We feel connected to this charity as our General Manager Sebastian, is a volunteer at his local RNLI station in Kent. Sailing is our passion and, as a yacht charter company established almost 20 years ago, we’re keen to support organisations doing good in our industry.
Our team are keen sailors and we understand just how important it is to have a service dedicated to protect people enjoying the UK’s 19,000 miles of coastline waters and inland shores.
The RNLI’s annual Mayday campaign is a yellow-themed fundraiser aiming to raise £700,000/€780,000 to fund the vital kit that protects RNLI volunteers in all weathers.

How you can help the RNLI's Mayday campaign
When you book with us during May, you can make a £5 donation to the RNLI with your booking. For every customer donation made, we will match it and also donate £5 to the RNLI.
Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram channels, as we’ll be sharing exciting stories and tips to help raise awareness of the importance of safety on yacht charter holidays.
Seb Hirst, General Manager of LateSail, is a volunteer at the RNLI Gravesend Lifeboat Station and said: “The RNLI is an important part of the marine community of which we are a part, both at LateSail and in my own sailing life. We therefore take pride in supporting RNLI initiatives, fundraising and personally being a volunteer on the Gravesend crew .
“Volunteers make this service the truly great organisation that it is and we rely heavily on our equipment and all-weather gear. Anything you can contribute will be going to a worthwhile cause.
He adds: “We’ll share how much we raised once the campaign is over, so stay tuned.”
